20 Crafty Makes

Hello Happy New Year!

I never got chance to tell you all about the great new craft book called 20 Crafty Makes that has been launched in aid of The Stroke Association. I didn't get any spare time before Christmas to write a blog post so here we go ...

You may have noticed me mention on twitter & on here a while back I was one of the lucky designer makers that got picked to have my project featured in the 20 Crafty Makes book. I submitted my sheep button picture you can see it here along with some of the other projects featured.  It really is a great book for all those crafty folk out there and is for an amazing cause all the proceeds from selling the book will be donated to The Stroke Association Charity.

You can buy a copy here on my Etsy shop.

Please let people know about it so we can make as much money as possible for this great charity!

Hello

Sorry I haven't blogged for a while I have taken on a Christmas part time job and don't seem to have any spare time. It all feels like a bit of a whirlwind at the minute but I am enjoying being so busy :)

I don't know if you remember but last year I organised a Christmas shopping event at the shop you can have a little look here if not. Seen as it went so well I have decided to team up with my friend Gail who owns The Magic Box Toyshop and we have planned an evening of Christmas shopping between both shops offering mulled wine, nibbles & 10% off everything in both shops on the night just to say a huge thank you to all our customers for supporting throughout the year.

I hope some of you can pop along to join us last year it was a lovely atmosphere.

Ohh Deer Cushions

Hello,
I don't know if you remember but a while ago I posted about my competition entries for the Ohh Deer Pillow fight competition. You could submit two design for cushions here are the ones I came up with.

Originally they were going to choose four winners to have there work produced and added to there collection of cushions available to buy online. But they changed this slightly after putting some extra hard work in the Ohh Deer team have made everyone's entries available to purchase online for a three week period. After this they will go on to choose the most popular.

They're Vegan & made with a super soft faux suede and come complete with the fibre insert. They're completely machine washable & handmade in the UK. Each cushion has a stone coloured back cover & a zip fastening. They measure 43x 43cm If you would like to order one of my designs there are the links for them both. These would make great Christmas presents!

20 Crafty Makes

Hello,
A while back on Facebook I saw a post about some lovely people putting together a craft book in aid of the wonderful charity Stroke Association called 20 Crafty Makes

They were wanting people to submit there craft projects, I thought I would give it a shot not expecting to hear anything back. I got to work making one of my more simple but effective projects taking step by step photo's & scribbled down some brief instructions that I emailed over to them.

A week later I got a lovely email letting me know they had chosen my project & included some more information about what would be happening next with the design of the book. I am so excited to see the final book finished I think it would make a fantastic Christmas present & it is all in aid of a fantastic charity! The book will be available as a printed or PDF copy. If you would like to reserve a printed copy you can do so by sending an email to - 20craftymakes@gmail.com

Sneak peek of a project in the book by Samantha

You can also follow the Crafty Makes team on Twitter & Facebook to keep up to date with news on the book they have been sharing sneak previews of some projects & makers.

I will be sure to keep you all updated with news of the book!
